RE: Lightweight Starter TT ??

My thoughts exactly Irak. His Tocoma is a crew cab (4 door) long bed 4x4. NO kids or dogs, just him and the wife and I doubt they would use it more that 3 or 4 times a year, so they probably wouldnt have it that loaded.

RE: Lightweight Starter TT ??

He saw a 19' trail light last year camping with us. It was being pulled by a Honda Ridgeline so i think the Toyota can handle it. I just want to know some other light weight brands. Thanks for a suggestions.

RE: Sagging .....

I put a leveling kit on my 2003 Powerstroke crew cab 4x4 way before I ever thought I'd own a fifth wheel. It looked terrible sitting there hooked to the camper... nose up in the air, but looked nice unhooked!! My new stock 06 will NOT get the leveling kit and looks like it suppopse to hooked up...level.

RE: Tucson Dealer won't honor E-Bay Auction- Advice

Man that was a lot of reading. I cant wait to see how the rest of the deal and PDI checked out! Keep us posted Pat and good on you for not rolling over and giving up. I would have done the EXACT same thing and then some probably. Congrats on the new rig as the Sandpiper is my favorite 5er, just cant afford one yet.....unless I got it for 15 G's. Way to go!!!!!

Greensboro/High Point to Maneto

Guys do you all take 64 E to the Outer Banks (Maneto) from the Greensboro, High Point area and how long does it normally take you? Do you pick it up on the outer belt loop in Raleigh? We're going to Ocracoke for a week in Sept. and leaving the 5er at home this time. I want to try coming in that way (we're in Roanoke Va.) this time since we're not pulling the camper. Any advice is welcome.

RE: Advise on type of camper

We have had a Puma 282rks for 2 years now and love it. Its an entry level camper, nothing real fancy in in, but it works great. We've had NO problems with it. Like I said it's entry level. Alot of the things are cheaply made but still work good and looks nice inside. It's 7800lbs empty so pulling isnt a problem. It pulls really good. I have nothing bad to say about them. We STOLE ours when we bought it. It was new on the lot, 07's were in, dealer wanted it gone. Got it for 16000. Sticker was 23000 If I remember correctly.

RE: Trouble for RV industry!

People are just fed up and need a place to vent. Something needs to give!! Heck, my wife and I cant afford to go camping anymore. Matter of fact, we're planning on selling ours just so we can have kids. I'll have to put them on my "family plan" since she doesent have one which makes my health care go from $125 per month to about $500. Bye bye camper! Oh but with my 2% raise this year everythings going to be ok. $24.33 per pay check before taxes...I'll just stop my rant there, back to the topic at hand.

RE: Not So Good Experience with RV Wholesalers Today

I found that just throwing a thick rubber bed mat over the rails kinda makes you forget the're there. Seems to work fine for me.

RE: Outer Banks in August without AC--smart or dumb?!

No way in hell I'd go with no AC. We camp at Camp Hatteras and love it, any time of summer, but wouldnt be caught dead without the AC. I dont think Oregon Inlet CG and Hatteras Light house CG have full hook up's anyway????? Do they??

RE: Myrtle Beach questions

Thats kinda what I'm looking for. Paved roads and pads to cut down on tracking in so much sand. I like to be able to spray the pad off with the hose. Thanks for all the advice.

Myrtle Beach questions

Hey gang, I was wondering if Pirate Land has paved roads and sites? I have heard that MB Travel Park does not. Is this correct? I haven't been to MB in 13 years and have never camped there. How early do most places take reservations for big weekends like Memorial Day and Labor Day? Which one of these 2 weekends do you all prefer at Myrtle??
